Hello my name is Alexis Rood. I’m Mexica, Otomí my family is from Aguas calientes and Muscogee Creek.

I am a multimedia Artist. That last 3years I have mainly worked with acrylic paints, beads and bones.

My family have been a big support for my creativity. Enrolling me in sewing and painting classes. And when COVID happened I started my journey to reconnect with traditional ways. And start to explore bead work as one of the ways and I have absolutely fallen in love. I feel that I have found something that was missing.
